Environment Protection

The importance of maintaining biodiversity and ecological balance depends on our focus on the existence of plants and animals around us. Richness in nature automatically provides a conducive climate for life to thrive. Our organisation has made wonderful efforts to plant native and horticultural trees in and around the village. This initiative is well-organised through youth volunteers who plant saplings and maintain them until they adapt to the natural environment.

Educational Assistance

Education is one of the most powerful tools for breaking the cycle of poverty and empowering communities. Recognising this, our trust provides educational assistance to underprivileged children and youth who lack access to quality learning opportunities.

We offer financial support to help students continue their education without the burden of fees. Our trust organises after-school tutoring sessions and skill development workshops to enhance learning outcomes and prepare students for future challenges. Through these efforts, we strive to create and support an educational environment where every learner can thrive.

Medical Care

Health is the foundation of a productive and fulfilling life. Recognising this, our trust is committed to promoting health awareness and preventive care among communities through dedicated health initiatives. Through a series of medical camps and health awareness programs, the trust addresses issues such as hygiene, nutrition, maternal and child health, and the prevention of communicable diseases.

Lake Reclamation and Conservation Drive

Sri Nidheeswarar Temple Trust, in association with the Annamputhur - Water User Association, is working to restore and expand the local irrigation tank—a vital source of water for over 3,000 people and 400 acres of farmland. As part of our commitment to environmental sustainability and community engagement, our team organised a comprehensive lake reclamation and conservation drive.

Overview of the Project

Increase the water holding capacity of the lake from 12,13,800 to 36,41,400 cubic metres, improving irrigation from 4 months to 12 months a year.
Provide consistent irrigation, increase cultivable area by 20%, and support food and income for thousands.
Reduce water wastage by 50%, improve groundwater levels, and ensure availability throughout the year.
Launch eco-tourism initiatives like boat rides and visitor stays, creating new income opportunities and boosting village earnings by 30%.
Strengthen tank embankments and plant 2,000 native trees to protect homes, prevent floods, and restore natural greenery.
Engage 80% of the local community in caring for and maintaining this precious resource, ensuring long-term success.
