Lake reclamation and conservation drive
Sri nidheeswararTemple trust in association with the Annamputhur water user association is working
to restore and expand the local irrigation tank ,a vital source of water for over 3000 people and 400
acres of farmland .As a part of our ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability and
community engagement our team organised a lake reclamation and conservation drive.
overview of the project
Increase the water holding capacity of the lake from 12,13,800 cubic metre to 36,41,400 cubic metre,thus improve irrigation period from 4 months to 12 months a year to hold more water and avoid wastage.
Will Achieve:
1. Provide consistent irrigation ,increase the cultivable area by 20% and serving food and income for thousands.
2.Reduce waterwaste by 50% improving groundwater level and making available through out the year.
3.Launch eco -tourism with boat rides and visitor stays creating new income opportunities and
boosting village earning by 30%.
4.strengthen the tank embankments and planting 2000 native trees to protect homes, prevent floods and restore natural greenery.
5.Engage 80% of the local community in caring for and maintaining this precious resource, ensuring long term success

Recognising this our trust has undertaken initiation to provide educational assistance to under privileged children and youth who lack access to quality learning opportunities. We provide financial support to help students continue their education without the burden of fees. Our trust organises after school tutoring session, skill development workshops to enhance learning outcomes and prepare students to face future challenges. Through these efforts our trust tries to create and support educational environment where every learner can thrive.

Rooted in the ancient belief that Go Seva (service to cows) brings purity, prosperity, and spiritual merit, the goshala provides a peaceful and nurturing home for cows that are aged, abandoned, or in need of care.

The presence of Lord Krishna in the Goshala (Cow Sanctuary) symbolizes love, compassion, and divine harmony between humans, animals, and nature. Krishna, who is lovingly remembered as Gopala and Govinda, spent much of His childhood among cows, caring for them with affection and playing His enchanting flute in their midst. A Goshala dedicated to Him becomes not just a shelter for cows but a sacred space filled with spiritual energy and peace.
