This has been thoroughly discussed and the organisation has made a wonderful efforts to plant native and horticultural trees in and around the village wherever possible.. this has been well organised by selecting the youth volunteer to plant the saplings and maintain it to naturalize to the existing conditions.
Lake reclamation and conservation drive
Sri Nidheeswarar Temple trust in association with the Annamputhur water user association is working to restore and expand the local irrigation tank, a vital source of water for over 3000 people and 400 acres of farmland. As a part of our ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability and community engagement our team organised a lake reclamation and conservation drive.
Overview of the project
Increase the water holding capacity of the lake from 12,13,800 cubic metre to 36,41,400 cubic metre, thus improve irrigation period from 4 months to 12 months a year to hold more water and avoid wastage.
